The software is designed to allow the user to run multiple zones at once.

Create Maps
The Map Builder software that comes with Itsworkzone™ allows the user to custom design maps on the fly. This software is essential for emergency situations.

Logging
The software logs all incoming and outgoing data transmissions into a log file that the users can view. The user can choose what devices they want logged, and when.

Control and verify your devices in real time
True graphical representations of all roadside devices and their current values is displayed on the screen. The user can then see what is happening as it happens.

Easy Point and Click interface
The user can navigate through and manage all options within the program by using the mouse or the keyboard. No confusing key combinations to learn. Finding maps and devices is as easy as picking their name from a list.

Security at its finest
System Security with up to 32,000 users each with 30 permissions that can be turned "on" or "off" by the administrator. All actions taken by the system and its users are logged into a secure file.

Control Protocols
Control Protocols can be switched during the execution of the program, allowing "hot swapping" of devices in real time. This allows the user to change the functionality of a device without having to stop the system. Also any device can be added to the system at any time, providing an Itsworkzone™ Protocol has been properly installed for that device.

System Management
Every device in the system can be managed manually by the user, or automatically by the software. Automation tools make it simple to configure the system to run itself.

System Events
System events are relayed to the user in both visually and audibly. The user can customize system sounds.

Automated Systems Management
The software shall detect internal errors and attempt to fix the problem. So if a disgruntled employee tries to sabotage the software, it will repair itself.

Automation
The software can be run manually, automated with user input, and fully automated.

Word Filter
The software comes with a Word Filter for text based devices such as CMS signs. The administrator can add, edit, and remove words from the Filter Library. When a filtered word is encountered, the software will not send that message to the device.

Peak Times
The administrator can configure the software with Peak Times. A Peak Time is when the system expects a heavier then usual workload. Devices can be configured to act differently during a Peak Time.

Conditions and Actions
The user can configure conditions and actions on the fly. The user can treat devices as individuals or as members of a group. The user can run conditions and actions automatically by the system, or the user can run them manually.

Device Scheduler
Devices can be scheduled to take a certain action at certain time. This feature makes automating the system for special events a snap.

Message Library
Choose from over 150 pre-set messages or create your own custom messages and store them for later.

Customize Appearance
The user can show and hide most major elements in the software.

Expandable Architecture
The software is built on an expandable architecture. If some functionality is required from the system and that functionality is not currently in the system, the user can install a plugin. Plugins add functionality to the software without interrupting or inhibiting the system.

Help is available on every major window in the software. Simply click a button and the help file will open to the topic in question. The Video Help feature gives the user a "watch and learn" tool on how to use Work Zone. The user simply watches a brief video on the topic in question.
